Resumo
Este artigo científico tem o intuito de analisar os conceitos acerca de salários e modalidades
de remuneração existentes conforme a legislação trabalhista brasileira, e analisar as
respectivas distinções entre os termos, o qual remuneração é considerada um gênero,
enquanto o salário é uma das espécies que pertencem a esse gênero. Entre as verbas
remuneratórias, foi enfatizada as gorjetas, suas respectivas modalidades e as práticas abusivas
vivenciadas no estabelecimentos comerciais. Além do enfoque também nas premiações e
comissões e suas respectivas diferenças. Quanto à metodologia utilizada, desenvolveu-se por
meio de pesquisas jurisprudenciais, posicionamentos doutrinários, bem como por decisões
preferidas pelo Tribunal Superior do Trabalho e dos Tribunais Regionais do Trabalho.
