imagina
This report works as the basis for the journalistic writing that shows the relation between the pet food industry’s growth and the media and advertising, explaining its origins, ascension and how pet food became common sense for animal nutrition, as well as its possible harms to health. It’s also shown alternatives for diets, how it works and its possible benefits for dogs and cats. This writing is built in the in-depth reporting model for magazines, and has in its methodology a field research with pet tutors and experts – both traditional and alternative – and theoretical basis from renowned authors about alternative animal nutrition, such as Tom Lonsdale, Karen Becker and Lew Olson. The obtained results show the need to debate about which diet is the best for pets, and the available choices are wider than it seems
