| dc.description.abstract | Existem diversas maneiras de se contar uma história. No jornalismo é muito comum ouvirmos dizer que existem múltiplas versões de uma mesma história. Independentemente da maneira que uma história será lembrada, uma coisa é essencial para que o registro aconteça: a memória de quem está contando-a. Por meio da memória individual e coletiva, de documentos oficiais e de questionários, este trabalho conta e analisa a trajetória do Curso de Jornalismo da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (UPM), no período 2000-2023. Grande parte do material aqui apresentado nasceu do projeto “Memória Jornalismo”. Criado pelo autor do trabalho, o projeto traz uma série de entrevistas audiovisuais com ex-alunos (e professores), que apresentam suas versões e visões da vivência que tiveram durante os anos de estudo no Curso. Em análise, o porquê da escolha pelo Jornalismo, como chegaram ao Mackenzie, o papel que o Curso representa na sociedade, a convivência, e a formação oferecida, que inclui dar ao aluno, uma capacidade de criação, produção, distribuição, recepção e análise crítica, referentes às práticas profissionais e sociais. Também discutem a importância e o impacto que o Curso e a universidade tiveram em suas vidas, sobre sua atuação profissional, formação, mudanças ocorridas no jornalismo/comunicação nos últimos anos, e o que esperam da área no futuro, mercado de trabalho, e o futuro da profissão. O trabalho traz também reflexões sobre as transformações pelas quais passa a profissão do jornalista, a concorrência cada vez mais acirrada no mercado educacional, a importância da história oral e os modos de captação da entrevista, entre outras questões consideradas importantes para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa. Como recorte para a elaboração desta tese foram utilizados apenas as entrevistas de 28 dos ex-alunos. | |

| local.description.abstracten | There are several ways to tell a story. In journalism, it is very common to hear that there are multiple versions of the same story. Regardless of how a story will be remembered, one thing is essential for the recording to happen: the memory of whoever is telling it. Through individual and collective memory, official documents and questionnaires, this work tells and analyzes the trajectory of the Journalism Course at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (UPM), in the period 2000-2023. Much of the material presented here came from the “Memória Jornalismo” Project. Created by the author of the work, the project brings a series of audiovisual interviews with former students (and teachers), who present their versions and visions of the experience they had during the years of study on the Course. In analysis, the reason for choosing Journalism, how they arrived at Mackenzie, the role that the Course represents in society, the coexistence, and the training offered, which includes giving the student the ability to create, produce, distribute, receive and analyze criticism, referring to professional and social practices. They also discuss the importance and impact that the Course and the university had on their lives and professional performance, training, changes that have occurred in journalism/communication in recent years, and what they expect from the area in the future, the job market, and the future of the profession. The work also brings reflections on the transformations in which the profession of Journalism is going through, the increasingly fierce competition in the educational market, the importance of oral history and the ways of capturing the interview, among other issues considered important for the development of the research. As a sample for the preparation of this thesis, only the interviews of 28 of the former students were used. | |
