International Sports Organizations, such as FIFA, FIA and the IOC constantly organize mega-events, which attract thousands of viewers, in the most diverse locations on the planet. As such events receive attention, tourism, sponsorship, etc., the host countries are often willing to waive local laws to apply the lex FIA (e.g. the World Cup law from Brazil in 2014). Therefore, the present work proposes to question whether, in the face of so much power and influence, wouldn't sports institutions have an obligation to do more for human rights in the countries they choose to host their competitions? Therefore, it will analyze the statute of each one of them to see if there is a legal duty, point out the controversies involving them and if they have sufficient legal personality to be responsible for their actions. The main thesis is that if the international organizations goes against their statutes, they should answer for that.
