fitoterapia. As evidências analisadas demonstram benefícios consistentes de
The aging process in women, marked by the transition from climacteric to menopause, can impact quality of life due to vasomotor, emotional, and physical symptoms. Considering the limitations and risks of hormonal therapy, there is an increasing interest in Integrative and Complementary Practices (ICPs) as safe and effective alternatives. This study presents a qualitative literature review, based on the PICO methodology, investigating the effects of non-hormonal intervention; including yoga, acupuncture, phytotherapy, physiotherapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy; on the quality of life of women during the climacteric and menopausal phases. A total of 23 studies published between 2015 and 2025 were included, with risk of bias assessed using the ROBINS-I tool. The results show consistent benefits of these practices in reducing insomnia, depression, anxiety, and vasomotor symptoms, with particular emphasis on acupuncture, yoga, and phytotherapy. The evidence reviewed highlights the consistent benefits of interventions such as yoga, acupuncture, and phytotherapy as viable and safe approaches for the multidimensional care of aging women, and they should be prioritized in public health policies and primary care.
