dc.description.abstractO Salmo 2 expõe num estilo poético o mais alto e amplo conceito bíblico da teologia do pacto a qual situa a pessoa escatológica do Messias na figura do rei Ungido. Como declara o Salmo 132.11: O SENHOR jurou a Davi com firme juramento e dele não se apartará: Um rebento da tua carne farei subir para o teu trono. Portanto, nele se apresenta, por assim dizer, a história da redenção, enfocando a coroação, o sofrimento até a exaltação e consumação, aponta para o estabelecimento do governo universal do Messias o qual o exerce na igreja e através da igreja. Um reino de poder “regnum potentiae” e um reino de graça “regnum gratae”. Reino administrado, não pela força ou meios externos, mas pela Palavra e pelo Espírito, que é o espírito da verdade, de sabedoria, de justiça e santidade, misericórdia, sendo, por vezes, identificado como o governo de graça. Razão por que chama os gentios, povos reis e príncipes para que sirvam ao SENHOR com temor e tremor, beijem o Filho para que não experimentem a sua ira.
