O assédio moral é um problema presente nas relações de trabalho desde muito tempo, mas só passou a ser analisado e estudado na contemporaneidade. Por se tratar de uma forma de agressão, a vítima pode vir a desenvolver transtornos psicológicos e até mesmo problemas físicos. O Compliance surge como meio de combate a corrupção, mas se tornou uma ferramenta importante para a repreensão de condutas indesejadas no ambiente corporativo de um modo geral, por se tratar de uma forma de assegurar valores e princípios éticos, o Compliance atua na promoção de um ambiente de trabalho mais sadio para aqueles que ali laboram. Dessa forma, é possível utilizar o Compliance como ferramenta de combate ao assédio moral dentro do ambiente de trabalho, utilizando dos mecanismos presentes em um Programa de Integridade bem estruturado, é possível prevenir o assédio moral, detectá-lo caso aconteça e corrigi-lo de maneira eficaz, para que não volte a acontecer naquele ambiente corporativo.
