O presente trabalho se dedica à investigação das noções de justiça em Aristóteles e
Santo Agostinho e, a partir do paralelo traçado entre suas teorias, a oferecer aplicações concretas
da justiça cristã. Para tanto, nos utilizamos dos estudos do filósofo francês Michel Villey a
respeito desses pensadores e dividimos o trabalho entre observar as concepções atribuídas ao
direito e à justiça por cada um deles, tecer algumas considerações a respeito das fontes e
conteúdo do direito cristão, e, finalmente, elencar possíveis e proveitosas contribuições do
direito cristão para a teoria de uma justiça na prática, estabelecendo-se deveres individuais que
não podem ser produzidos pelo pensamento simplesmente objetivo do direito. Ao final,
concluir-se-á pelas contraposições dos pensamentos dos filósofos, a conveniência do sistema
de direito de cada um, e pela possibilidade de influência dos valores cristãos, conquanto
próprios da cidade celeste, na realidade e organização sociojurídica dos homens.
This paper is dedicated to investigating the notions of justice in Aristotle and St. Augustine and, based on the parallel drawn between their theories, to offering concrete applications of Christian justice. To this end, we used the studies of the French philosopher Michel Villey on these thinkers and divided the work between observing the conceptions attributed to law and justice by each of them, making some considerations about the sources and content of Christian law, and finally listing possible and useful contributions of Christian law for a theory of justice in practice, establishing individual duties that cannot be produced by the simply objective thinking of law. At last, we will conclude by contrasting the thoughts of the philosophers, the convenience of each one's system of law, and the possibility of Christian values influencing the reality and socio-legal organization of men, even though they are specific to the heavenly city.
