Abstract
O presente trabalho tem como tema principal uma análise sobre as consequências ao emprego de técnicas científicas para o melhoramento genético, ou a edição genética, com contextualização histórica, para que as premissas e as motivações do uso da biotecnologia sejam compreendidas. Além disso, propõe a reflexão jurídica, social e econômica, pautada no uso da engenharia genética, para a criação de seres humanos geneticamente melhorados, com a exploração econômica desse novo mercado e contribuição para o nascimento da desigualdade genética. Em vista à metodologia bibliográfica, as conjurações do possível futuro da humanidade são enfrentadas, considerando a permanência de resquícios do passado, tais como a eugenia.
The main theme of this work is an analysis of the consequences of using scientific techniques for genetic improvement, or genetic editing, with historical context, so that the premises and motivations for the use of biotechnology are understood. Furthermore, it proposes legal, social and economic reflection, based on the use of genetic engineering, for the creation of genetically improved human beings, with the economic exploitation of this new market and contribution to the birth of genetic inequality. In view of the bibliographic methodology, the conjurations of the possible future of humanity are faced, considering the permanence of remnants of the past, such as eugenics.
