Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar a cobertura da mídia esportiva de
Sorocaba em relação ao Esporte Clube São Bento, além de explanar como o clube
molda a cultura da cidade, conhecida pelo forte polo industrial. A pesquisa baseia-se
em entrevistas com pessoas ligadas ao esporte da cidade e a equipe centenária. O
São Bento nasceu no século passado e os jornais de Sorocaba viram no clube uma
forma de alavancar a cultura da região. O trabalho visa virar um livro-reportagem sobre
histórias sobre o São Bento, contadas por pessoas que vivem o clube. São mais de
cem anos e milhares de fatos históricos envolvendo a mídia, a cidade e a equipe.
Podemos observar que o esporte em Sorocaba se baseia muito no Azulão e através
de pesquisas quantitativas e qualitativas, constatamos a soberania do clube na
cidade.
This work shows the coverage of the sports media of Sorocaba in relation to the Sport Club São Bento, as well as explain how the club shapes the culture of the city, known by the strong industrial area. The research is based on interviews with people connected to the city's sport and the centennial team. São Bento was born in the last century and the newspapers of Sorocaba saw in the club a way to leverage the culture of the region. The work aims to become a book-report on stories about São Bento, told by people living the club. It is more than a hundred years and thousands of historical facts involving the media, the city and the team. We can observe that the sport in Sorocaba is based very much on the Azulão and through quantitative and qualitative research, we verify the sovereignty of the club in the city.
