dc.description.abstractCom o passar dos anos, o número de idosos vem aumentando exponencialmente no Brasil e, com isso, aumenta também os casos de abandono afetivo e material por parte da família destes. Com base nisso, torna-se urgente a criação de um instituto que insira a pessoa idosa em um lar que possa suprir suas necessidades básicas, não só fisiológicas (comida, saúde, repouso), mas também de afeto e amor. Este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a realidade dos idosos no Brasil e, através disso, verificar sobre a viabilidade da senexão no Brasil. Ademais, buscou-se explorar os direitos dos idosos no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, bem como os projetos de lei que versam sobre a inserção de idosos em lar substituto. O método de abordagem utilizado na pesquisa foi o indutivo, com a utilização de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Conclui-se que se faz necessária a adoção destes institutos no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, garantindo a concretização dos princípios de proteção à pessoa idosa e do direito destes à convivência familiar e comunitária.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractOver the years, the number of elderly people has been increasing exponentially in Brazil and, with this, the cases of emotional and material abandonment by their families also increase. Based on this, it is urgent to create an institute that inserts elderly people into a home that they can have their basic needs, not only physiological (food, health, rest), but also affection and love. This study aimed to analyze the reality of the elderly in Brazil and, through this, to verify the feasibility of senexão in Brazil. In addition, we sought to explore the rights of the elderly in the Brazilian legal system, as well as the bills that deal with the insertion of the elderly in a substitute home. The approach method used in the research was the inductive one, with the use of bibliographic and documental research. It is concluded that it is necessary to adopt these institutes in the Brazilian legal system, ensuring the realization of the principles of protection of the elderly and their right to family and community coexistence.pt_BR
