dc.description.abstractOs possíveis encontros de histórias paralelas escritas nas margens de um livro compõem a estrutura de S., uma obra singular, que apresenta uma proposta de leitura diferenciada uma vez que exige a constante participação ativa de seu leitor que necessita desvendar as diversas narrativas inseridas nos diferentes contextos expressos na obra. Para isso, a metodologia de trabalho elaborada para a presente tese estabeleceu a divisão de três níveis de leitura, o primeiro correspondendo à estrutura narrativa do livro O Navio de Teseu, o segundo sobre a formação da figura da tradutora Filomena Xabregas Caldeira e a sua importância para a composição do romance, e o terceiro abordando a presença dos leitores fictícios Eric e Jennifer e a maneira como a interação entre eles proporciona diferentes direcionamentos em relação ao texto principal. Ademais, ressaltar a importância da materialidade da obra colabora para a identificação do movimento de interação e a interligação entre os níveis. Logo, a presente tese tem como objetivo analisar a construção estrutural de um texto feito de histórias justapostas para o entendimento da formação da urdidura do enredo. Portanto, traçar os elementos de constituição do objeto literário e as funcionalidades dos papeis dos diferentes receptores possibilitou a percepção do funcionamento da dinâmica textual, ademais, a presença de figuras ficcionais como autor, tradutora e leitores juntamente com o acervo de materiais encontrados nas páginas formam um jogo em que é preciso unir as peças para obter a experiencia plena de leitura. A materialidade da obra, por sua vez, potencializa o efeito de sentido, criando uma linha tênue entre a ficção e o real.pt_BR

local.description.abstractenThe possible encounters of parallel stories written on the margins of a novel composes the structure of S., a unique literary work, providing a distinct reading proposition once seeks the constant active participation of the reader to unravel various narratives inserted in different contexts. Thus, the work methodology elaborated for the present thesis established a division three reading levels, the first corresponds to the narrative structure of the novel The Ship of Theseus, the second is about the figure formation the translator Filomena Xabregas Caldeira and her relevance to the composition of the novel, and the third discuss the presence of fictional readers Eric and Jennifer analyzing how the interaction between them provide unequal direction in relation to the primary text. In addition, emphasize the importance of book’s materiality contributes to the identification of the interaction movement and the interrelation between the levels. Hence, the present thesis aims to disclose the structural construction of a text made by juxtaposed stories to the understanding the warp plot formation. Therefore, delineating the elements that forms the literary object and the rows of the different receptors have facilitated the perception on the functioning of the textual dynamics; furthermore, the presence of fictional figures like author, translator, and reader, in conjunction with a collection of booklets found between the pages set a game which is needed to gather the pieces to achieve the complete experience of the reading. On the other hand, the materiality of the book enhances the meaning effects, creating a fine line between fiction and reality.pt_BR
