dc.description.abstractThis dissertation, initially exposes three theoretical views about the metaphor: the rhetoric, the semantic and conceptual and highlights the communicative values of this figure of speech. Aims to analyze , from a pragmatic point of view, the Sermon on the Mount metaphors recorded in Matthew's gospel in order to assess the univocal ; single meaning attributed to a term and / or plurivocity ; various meanings attributed to terms , these figures of speech . The analysis proposed here considers 18 metaphors found in the Sermon on the Mount , grouped from the sense of similarities between them. Related to this, the Bible as literature enumerating the different historical interpretations of biblical metaphorical text and the production context of the Sermon on the Mount .eng
