Resumo
A tese irá abordar quais as dificuldades da mulher ao lidar com a maternidade e carreira, e de que forma o ordenamento jurídico a protege e como poderia melhorar. Ademais, alude as desigualdades de gênero dentro do mundo corporativo. O trabalho mostra como a entrada da mulher na vida sindical trouxe dificuldades ao enfrentar a maternidade, tendo em vista a grande desigualdade de gênero no Brasil e no mundo, tanto no âmbito social como no mercado de trabalho, sendo esta muito influenciada pela possibilidade de a mulher assumir o papel de mãe. Diante disso, aborda quais são as previsões na norma jurídica em relação à proteção à maternidade, busca entender os impactos dessa questão no dia a dia e quais melhorias poderiam ser aplicadas pelo Estado para que houvesse mais apoio e suporte às mães trabalhadoras, além de demonstrar quais são as dificuldades e discriminações enfrentadas por mulheres ao precisarem conciliar a maternidade e o trabalho. Busca, por fim, compreender se as empresas, na prática, enfrentam estas políticas e se essas garantem um local igualitário e acolhedor para mulheres.
The thesis will address the difficulties that women faces when dealing with motherhood and careers and how the legal system protects them and how it could improve. Furthermore, it alludes to gender inequalities within the corporate world. The work shows how women’s entry in union life brought difficulties before the consolidation of motherhood, in view of the wide gender inequality in Brazil and in the world, both in the social sphere and in the labor market, which is widely influenced by the possibility of women assume the role of mother. Therefore, addresses what are the forecasts in the legal norm related to maternity protection, seeks to understand the impacts of this issue on a daily basis and what improvements could be applied by the State so that there was more support for working mothers, in addition to demonstrate what are the difficulties and discrimination faced by women when they need to harmonize motherhood and work. Finally, it seeks to understand if the companies, in practice, face these policies and whether they guarantee an equal and welcoming place for women.
