Abstract
This research aims to study the “Parent and Children Workshops” offered by the State Justice Courts in a joint effort with the National Council of Justice, an interdisciplinary, educational and preventive program which aims, as claimed by the Justice Court of São Paulo, to guide the families that are going through familiar restructuration, caused by the rupture of the parents’ marital bond, with the intent of helping all members to overcome eventual difficulties that are inherent to this process, avoiding traumas, especially to the children. An analysis of the origin and implementation of these workshops will be made, as well as an analysis of the legal environment that made their creation possible. This research will use documental analysis as well as bibliographical references such as: scientific articles, books, theses, legislation and all the documents made available to those who subscribe to participate in the on-line course.
