Resumo
O jornalismo teve de se adaptar às novas tecnologias e necessidades da sociedade. A quantidade de usuários nas redes sociais e a disseminação de fake news no meio online geraram demanda pela presença de veículos jornalísticos nesse ambiente. O Instagram possui diversas características que o tornam interessante para a veiculação de notícias, como: instantaneidade, mobilidade, alcance de público jovem, foco imagético e variedade de ferramentas disponíveis. A fim de investigar o uso jornalístico dessa plataforma, realizou-se um estudo do perfil dos seguintes veículos: Estado de S. Paulo, Folha de S. Paulo, Agência Lupa, BBC News e The New York Times. O primeiro capítulo desta monografia aborda o conceito de jornalismo, sua função na sociedade e as mudanças que tem enfrentado. O segundo trata das ferramentas do Instagram e suas possibilidades. O terceiro capítulo traz os dados levantados e análise dos perfis de forma individual e comparativa. Por fim, as considerações finais se propõem a concluir o assunto e apontar sua importância para o jornalismo e sociedade.
Journalism had to adapt to the new technologies and needs of society. The large number of users on social networks and the spread of fake news created demand for the presence of journalistic vehicles in the online environment. Instagram has several features that makes it interesting for news broadcasting, such as: instantaneity, mobility, reach of young audience, image focus and variety of available tools. In order to investigate the journalistic use of this platform, a profile study of the following vehicles was carried out: Estado de S. Paulo, Folha de S. Paulo, Agência Lupa, BBC News and The New York Times. The first chapter of this monograph report the concept of journalism, its role in society and the changes it has faced. The second deals with Instagram tools and their possibilities. The third chapter presents the data collected and analysis of the profiles in an individual and comparative way. The final considerations propose to conclude the subject and points out its importance for journalism and society
