dc.description.abstractO objetivo deste trabalho é estudar a relação dialógica entre o ensino de engenharia de estruturas e o ensino de arquitetura. Visa, portanto, conhecer os componentes identitários da construção civil na formação de estudantes de arquitetura, assim como também compreender as inovações curriculares que promovam práticas experimentais a partir de seus efetivos resultados. Para além da revisão bibliográfica necessária ao conhecimento do estado da arte do tema proposto, fez-se necessário enfatizar ao longo deste trabalho as abordagens vinculadas sobre os sistemas estruturais e suas tecnologias construtivas que, através de análises críticas elaboradas no amplo panorama histórico dessa disciplina, ponderou-se experiências que explicitassem o papel inovador das tecnologias construtivas em prol do avanço científico bem como de seus benefícios para a construção de sociedades, ora representados em edifícios icônicos. Em continuidade, após investigar sobre o “o que”, a presente pesquisa enveredou-se para tratar sobre o “quem”, ou em outras palavras, sobre os agentes que contribuíram para a ampliação e sofisticação do campo de conhecimento dos sistemas estruturais, seja por meio de casos experimentais físicos, seja por meio de postulados teóricos. Grandes pensadores e profissionais da construção civil, tais como Fritz Lenhardt, Pier Luigi Nervi e Buckminster Fuller, foram nomes selecionados nesses âmbitos, considerando os respectivos legados que preparou caminhos diretos ou indiretos para que a configuração de sistemas estruturais perpassasse por reinvenções. Aproximando-se do contexto brasileiro, a pesquisa também se inclina aos nomes ligados diretamente à docência no tema tratado: os professores Aluízio Fontana Margarido, Yopanan Rebello e Augusto Carlos de Vasconcellos. A partir dessas figuras, buscou-se então compreender as repercussões no âmbito da produção arquitetônica paulistana. Por fim, dando a sequência sobre “o que” e “quem”, a investigação seguiu para explorar sobre o “onde”, isto é, as localidades que protagonizam a experiência do ensino de sistemas estruturais em faculdades de arquitetura. Assim sendo, elegeu-se como procedimento de um único estudo de caso – o ensino de sistema estruturais e suas práticas metodológicas, a partir da apreciação deste objeto em dez escolas no Brasil, na Alemanha, na Itália e em Portugal.pt_BR

local.description.abstractenThe objective of this work is to study the dialogical relationship between the teaching of structural engineering and the teaching of architecture. It aims, therefore, to know the identity components of civil construction in the education of architecture students, as well as to understand the curricular innovations that promote experimental practices based on their effective results. In addition to the bibliographical review necessary for the knowledge of the state of the art of the proposed theme, it was necessary to emphasize throughout this work the linked approaches on structural systems and their constructive technologies that, through critical analyzes elaborated in the broad historical panorama of this discipline, experiments were considered that would explain the innovative role of construction technologies in favor of scientific advancement, as well as their benefits for the construction of societies, now represented in iconic buildings. Continuing, after investigating the "what", this research turned to the "who", or in other words, the agents who contributed to the expansion and sophistication of the field of knowledge of structural systems, either through physical experimental cases or through theoretical postulates. Great thinkers and construction professionals, such as Fritz Lenhardt, Pier Luigi Nervi and Buckminster Fuller, were selected names in these areas, considering the respective legacies that prepared direct or indirect paths for the configuration of structural systems to pass through reinventions. Approaching the Brazilian context, the research also leans towards names directly linked to teaching in the subject under study: professors Aluízio Fontana Margarido, Yopanan Rebello and Augusto Carlos de Vasconcellos. From these figures, we sought to understand the repercussions in the context of architectural production in São Paulo. Finally, continuing on “what” and “who”, the investigation went on to explore the “where”, that is, the locations that lead the experience of teaching structural systems in architecture schools. Therefore, it was chosen as the procedure of a single case study – the teaching of structural systems and their methodological practices, based on the appreciation of this object in ten schools in Brazil, Germany, Italy and Portugal.pt_BR
