dc.description.abstractEste artigo aborda a importância do tema ESG (Environmental Social Governance) no mercado de capitais. Ele não tem caráter conclusivo, mas sim exploratório, e foi elaborado a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica referente ao mercado de capitais, contexto no qual é sempre de grande relevância buscar aspectos práticos. Pretende-se, assim, trazer esses aspectos através de disposições e resoluções deste mercado, enfocando no conhecimento do tema, relativamente novo, explorando a relação de causa e efeito entre as partes aqui discutidas e, refletindo sobre o quanto o ESG influencia o mercado, e como isso se espelha em seus agentes reguladores. Além da parte exploratória do tema, o objetivo é trazer uma reflexão ao leitor sobre sustentabilidade, que abrange causas sociais e de governança da agenda ESG, e sua relação com o mercado, entendendo que o tema ESG não veio para frear o desenvolvimento econômico e que pode ser compreendido como um copiloto do mercado financeiro em geral.
dc.description.abstractThis article aims to address the importance of the ESG (Environmental Social Governance) theme in the capital market. It has a non-conclusive research objective, but rather an exploratory one, based on a bibliographic research in the context of the capital market, in which it is of great relevance to seek practical aspects to support the theoretical concepts. Thus, the goal of this study is to bring this practical aspect through an analysis of their characteristics and resolutions, focusing on understanding this relatively new theme, exploring the cause-and-effect relationship between the parties discussed here, and possibly measuring how much ESG is influencing the market and how this is reflected in its regulatory agencies. In addition to the exploratory part of the study, the aim is also to bring a reflection to the reader about sustainability, which encompasses social and governance issues of the ESG agenda, and its relation to the market, having in mind that ESG did not come to hinder economic development and that it can be considered as a co-pilot of the overall financial market.
