dc.description.abstractA violência doméstica é conjuntura subestimada pela comunidade em geral, que acredita ser problema pertencente unicamente aos envolvidos neste contexto. Entretanto, trata se de preocupante e urgente problemática social que amedronta a vida de milhares de mulheres no país. Culturalmente enraizada em nossa sociedade, através da reprodução de comportamentos machistas e sexistas, a questão se agrava por envolver uma íntima relação entre agressor e vítima, tornando mais complicada a interrupção do cenário violento. Por se tratar de complexa circunstância, as ações de enfrentamento à violência doméstica devem avaliar, além de meios que tornem mais rígida a punição aos agressores, mecanismos capazes de provocar efetiva mudança no comportamento de toda a comunidade frente à questão. Por isso, neste trabalho se abordará a adoção de políticas públicas como meio de reeducar a sociedade e efetivar os mecanismos de prevenção e coibição criados pela Lei Maria da Penha. Ainda, defende-se a aplicação da Justiça Restaurativa, proposta penal mais humanizada, em conjunto com o atual sistema de justiça e mediante meios alternativos de resolução de conflitos, como medida eficaz na ruptura do ciclo da violência doméstica e na diminuição da reincidência.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractDomestic violence is underestimated by the community in general, which believes it is a problem that belongs only to those involved in this context. However, it is a worrying and urgent social problem that frightens the lives of thousands of women in the country. Culturally rooted in our society, through the reproduction of sexist behaviors, the issue is aggravated by involving an intimate relationship between aggressor and victim, making interrupting the violent scenario more complicated. As this is a complex circumstance, actions to combat domestic violence must assess, in addition to means that make punishment of aggressors more rigid, mechanisms capable of causing an effective change in the behavior of the entire community regarding the issue. For this reason, this work will address the adoption of public policies as a means of re-educating society and implementing the prevention and restraint mechanisms created by the Maria da Penha Law. Besides that, the application of Restorative Justice, a more humanized criminal proposal, is advocated, together with the current justice system and through alternative means of conflict resolution, as an effective measure in breaking the domestic violence cycle and reducing recidivism.pt_BR
