O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a política de vouchers instituída pela ditadura do general Augusto Pinochet no sistema de educação chileno a partir de 1980. Muito embora o sistema educacional do Chile apresente bons resultados em testes aplicados para medição de nível de ensino quando comparado a outros países latino americanos, a educação sempre recebeu questionamentos e insatisfações por parte de sua população, conforme visto no movimento estudantil que aflorou em 2006, onde a principal reivindicação se baseava na revogação da lei educacional instituída pela ditadura militar. Com isso, diversas reformas foram realizadas no sistema de vouchers educacionais, contudo, a base do sistema de educação chileno permanece sendo uma política de subsidiação estatal com larga presença do setor privado. Dessa forma, para melhor análise dessa proposta instituída no setor educacional e seus respectivos reflexos, utilizou-se no presente trabalho a pesquisa bibliográfica, valendo-se de algumas legislações estabelecidas no Chile.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the voucher policy instituted by dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet in te Chilean education system from 1980 onwards. Although the educacional system in Chile presentes good results in tests applied to measure the level of education when compared to other Latin American countries, the education has always received questions and dissatisfaction from its population, as seen in the student movement that emerged in 2006, where the main claim was based on the repeal of the educational law instituted by the military dictatorship. As a result, several reforms were carried out in the educational voucher system, however, the basis of the Chilean education system remains a policy of state subsidization with a large presence of the private sector. Thus, for a better analysis of this proposal instituted in the educational sector and its respective reflexes, it was used in was used in the presente work the bibliographic research, makink use of some legislation established in Chile.
