Abstract
O presente artigo tem por objetivo compreender as principais motivações dos agentes da pesca ilegal sob a ótica da economia do crime, tanto no âmbito nacional quanto internacional. Será possível identificar que as condutas praticadas implicam em graves violações de direitos humanos, como a escravidão marítima e tráfico internacional de pessoas, as quais se prolongam na história de maneira secular, ao mesmo tempo que afetam a sociedade na atualidade, em detrimento da dificuldade de controle e repressão estatal e ausência de interesse no tema por parte do Poder Público.
The present article aims to understand the main motivations of illegal fishing agents from the point of view of the economics of crime, both nationally and internationally. It will be possible to identify that the conducts practiced imply serious human rights violations that have been going on in history for centuries, at the same time that they affect society today, due to the difficulty of state control and repression and the lack of interest in the topic on the part of the government.
