dc.description.abstract | The errors at work whenever possible, should be avoided, however, there are situations in organizations where errors are inevitable, for example in environments of creation and experimentation, environments in which most information technology professionals work. The impossibility of avoiding it in 100% of the cases creates the need to deal with the error in order to minimize the damage it can cause to the company. In this context, dealing with error in a positive perception, through their behavior, colleagues generate a favorable climate for learning, influenced from there the individuals who feel safe start to communicate and position themselves in the face of the error of a colleague or leader without fear of losing his job or suffering reprisals. These positive stimuli contribute to error becoming a subsidy for learning, so that the more positive the climate and the more situations of learning from errors occur, the greater the innovative work behavior, the more ideas will be created, communicated, and placed in practice. For the assessment of this scenario, the constructs of the climate of error for learning, psychological security, learning from error and innovative work behavior were conceptually defined. The study included 123 information technology (IT) professionals who work in companies from different segments, most of whom are from IT and Banking Services. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using three steps: descriptive statistics, measurement model and structural model using the SmartPLS software. The results confirmed the hypotheses of influence: a) the climate of learning from errors in psychological security, b) psychological security in learning from errors and, c) learning from errors in innovative work behavior. | eng |
