O presente artigo pretende analisar o mercado de streaming na América Latina entre 2017 e 2022. Para realizar a análise foi utilizado como base o artigo “How streaming services make cinema more important” do pesquisador Terje Gaustad, de 2019, assim como dados de sites especializados no mercado. Para realização foram utilizados os métodos histórico e análise de estatística descritiva de dados. Os resultados permitem concluir que o setor possui extrema importância dentro do mercado audiovisual atual, mas possui limitações e desafios a seguir.
This article aims at analysing the streaming market in Latin America in the period from 2017 to 2022. The analysis was based on the article “How streaming services make cinema more important” by researcher Terje Gaustad, from 2019, as well as on data from specialised websites in the market. To this end, the historical methods and descriptive statistical analysis of data were used. The results allow us to conclude that the sector has great importance within the current audiovisual market but faces limitations and challenges.
