Resumo
The aim of this research is to highlight the work of the architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha in the field of scenography for the theater and opera.
Since the 1990’s, the architect’s production has been consistent although little known, especially that in partnership with director Bia Lessa, designing mobile stage settings having great symbolic impact.
We will cover the seven scenarios designed by the architect seeking to understand the procedures and concepts contained in his creation process.
The studies will be elaborated in an individual way and, from the understanding of the parties, we will try to understand the whole, debugging the way in which the architect thought about the space in architecture and in another materiality.
