Abstract
O trabalho de conclusão de curso “A ascensão do Esporte Clube São Bento” relata
por meio de um vídeo reportagem a história de um clube de futebol do município de
Sorocaba. Este time centenário passou por muitos altos e baixos durante seu
percurso. Entre o quase desaparecimento do clube e a Série B do Campeonato
Brasileiro, existem muitas histórias para serem contadas por àqueles que as
vivenciaram, tais como jornalistas, torcedores ou funcionários do clube. O time
alviceleste de Sorocaba sempre foi considerado muito tradicional dentro do futebol
brasileiro, mas sempre com pouco espaço entre os grandes do estado.
The work of conclusion "A Ascensão do Esporte Clube São Bento" reports on a video-reportage, the history of a soccer club in the city of Sorocaba, interior of São Paulo, which has been through many ups and downs during the path. Between the near disappearance of the club and “Série B” of the “Campeonato Brasileiro”, there are many stories to be told by those who have experienced it, by the journalists, fans or club employees. The White and blue team from Sorocaba has always been considered very traditional in Brazilian football, but always with little space compared to the biggest teams of the state.
