In this article, we are introduced to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), which was used to develop and to refine a digital didactic material based on a printed book used in more than 100 Brazilian schools. A case study was conducted in a classroom of the first grade of elementary school to verify the benefits and the difficulties in implementing such an approach. The results of this experiment are presented in this article.
