dc.description.abstractEste artigo tem como objetivo principal defender que o uso de recursos retóricos no exercício da pregação não é condenado por Paulo em 1 Coríntios 1:10-2:16. A primeira parte do trabalho apresenta uma análise do contexto da pregação em Corinto. A segunda, expõe o problema que o apóstolo Paulo buscou resolver na perícope destacada. A terceira, apresenta uma análise sobre os conceitos de sabedoria do mundo e sabedoria de Deus. A quarta, analisa os recursos retóricos utilizados por Paulo em sua pregação. Na quinta e última parte, a relação entre a pregação e o uso de recursos retóricos é considerada à luz do ensino de Paulo na passagem.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractThis article presented an analysis of the texts of 1 Corinthians 1:10-2:16, positioning itself in favor of the argument that the apostle Paul does not condemn the use of rhetorical resources and of language and argument construction methodologies in the exercise of preaching. When studying the concepts of “wisdom of the world” and “wisdom of God”, it is concluded that the “wisdom of the world” rejected by Paul when he preached the gospel in Corinth, concerns that mistaken and false wisdom that understands that it is possible to reach to the knowledge of God by human knowledge alone. By rhetoric is understood the art of speaking well, of building an eloquent argument, so that it is seen as a tool that aims to make the content of the message understandable to listeners, in the aspect of human communication. On this point, the understanding was clarified that only the Holy Spirit of God can enlighten sinful man so that he can discern spiritual things and believe in the gospel. It is concluded, therefore, that not only rhetoric as a tool for the construction of the argument is not condemned by the apostle Paul, but he himself made use of this tool in the construction of his speech, and that it is relevant to the exercise of preaching the gospel, for being a tool that makes the message understandable to listeners.pt_BR
