dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is the relationship between sustainability and the project of architecture, with the focus on energy consumption in urban buildings. Sustaninable development will be discussed concerning to the cities organization. Architecture, then, will be inserted to this context represented by its most characteristic product, the building. As a metodology to measure the building impact on environment, the life cycle analisys is applied. This will lead to directives to an environmentally responsible building. This directives will define the basis of an eficient project, regarding to the expectations among the possibility of building consumption energy reduction.eng
