This work aims to analyze the connection between the railway system in the São Paulo metropolitan area and culture, considering train stations as multifunctional spaces that go beyond their primary function of transportation. It seeks to understand the evolution of train stations, their impact on daily life, and their growth in size and complexity, as well as the dynamics of the daily lives of users. Additionally, it analyzes the concentration of cultural facilities in the metropolitan area. The Carapicuiba Station was chosen as a case study due to the lack of cultural facilities in the surrounding area and its peripheral location in the São Paulo metropolitan area, which is characterized by geographical, social, and economic marginalization. The case studies (Calgary Central Library, Kenitra's Train Station, and Luz Station) explore themes such as building over railways, connecting the sides of railways, and linking platforms to cultural facilities. With this in mind, the project proposes a Cultural Center that establishes a connection between the sides of the railway, creating a direct link between users and the cultural center, and enhancing access to leisure and culture in the area.
