dc.description.abstractPretende-se neste estudo explorar as causas da violência doméstica contra a mulher e os avanços legislativos que visam seu enfrentamento, como a importante Lei Maria da Penha. Buscou-se compreender se há de fato uma tutela normativa forte e eficiente no Brasil e, ainda, se tal tutela é suficiente para proteger as vítimas de agressão física, sexual, moral e psicológica. É sabido que o tema da violência contra a mulher é extremamente amplo, posto que envolve elementos de cunho social profundos, além de históricos, psicológicos e emocionais, muitos deles de difícil elucidação e compreensão, haja vista sua alta carga subjetiva. Por isso, diante da vastidão e complexidade do tema, a presente pesquisa se preocupou em limitar seu escopo à esfera jurídica que o engloba e se ater a um recorte temático específico, a saber: quais os avanços legislativos no enfrentamento da violência contra a mulher no Brasil por meio da pontuação dos marcos nacionais e internacionais que contam a história da tutela penal da violência doméstica, além de um panorama geral sobre essa realidade e um remonte de suas raízes históricas.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to explore in a way the causes of domestic violence against women and the legislative advances aimed at addressing them, such as the important Maria da Penha Law. Through conducting bibliographic searches, surveying statistics and interviews using electronic forms, we sought to understand whether there is in fact strong and efficient regulatory protection in Brazil and, even, whether such protection is sufficient to protect victims of physical aggression, sexual, moral and psychological. It is known that the theme of violence against women is extremely broad, since it involves profound social, as well as historical, psychological and emotional elements, many of which are difficult to elucidate and understand, given their high subjective burden. For this reason, in view of the vastness and complexity of the theme, the present research was concerned with limiting its scope to the legal sphere that encompasses it and adhering to a specific thematic cut, namely: what are the legislative advances in confronting violence against women? in Brazil and if there are gaps in the laws that protect the problem of this growing reality.pt_BR
