With these criteria, seven articles were selected, these were analyzed from six categories: journal name, author, teaching institution, leadership theory addressed, type and research method). The most relevant results revealed that the approach based on the Transactional, Transformational and Laissez Faire Leadership Styles was the most used in the researches already carried out, and, in addition, it was noticed that this theme has been more explored in public universities located in the regions South and Southeast of the country. It is hoped that this survey can demonstrate the scenario of scientific production on the leadership styles of teachers and provide reflection on the possible courses and limitations in the educational context and academic research.
