dc.description.abstractEste artigo visa analisar o impeachment da ex-presidente Dilma Rousseff, a partir de um recorte de gênero, buscando investigar a presença de traços sexistas e misóginos nos discursos e práticas que culminaram em sua deposição. Para isso, inicia-se com um estudo revisando historicamente a inserção feminina na política, principalmente sob a ótica da Constituição Federal de 1988, analisando a participação feminina nos três poderes: Legislativo, Judiciário e Executivo. Adicionalmente, segue-se com um estudo detalhado da trajetória de Dilma, observando o aumento da representação feminina em seu governo e as reações políticas à sua gestão. Ademais, prossegue-se com uma análise jurídica sobre a natureza do impeachment, detalhando o que são os crimes de responsabilidade e as "pedaladas fiscais". O processo de impeachment da Dilma Rousseff é detalhadamente investigado, observando-se os discursos que o embasaram, as bases jurídicas empregadas, o processo de votação e seus argumentos e o papel desempenhado pela mídia na configuração da opinião pública durante o processo. Finalmente, o trabalho discute as consequências do impeachment, tanto para a própria Dilma, analisando seu discurso pós-impeachment, quanto para a representatividade política feminina no Brasil contemporâneo. As considerações finais refletem sobre os resultados do estudo à luz de um enfoque feminista, discutindo a persistência da misoginia na arena política e os desafios enfrentados pelas mulheres em espaços predominantemente masculinos.
dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes the impeachment of former President Dilma Rousseff through a gender lens, investigating the presence of sexist and misogynistic elements within the discourses and practices that led to her ousting. The study begins with a historical overview of women's integration into politics, particularly under the framework of the 1988 Federal Constitution, examining female participation across the three branches of government: Legislative, Judicial, and Executive. The analysis continues with a detailed examination of Rousseff's career, noting the increased representation of women in her administration and the political responses to her tenure. Furthermore, the paper delves into a legal analysis of the impeachment process, elaborating on crimes of responsibility and "fiscal pedaling". The impeachment process itself is scrutinized, focusing on the underlying speeches, legal grounds, the voting process, and the role of media in shaping public opinion. Lastly, the consequences of the impeachment for Rousseff herself and for female political representation in contemporary Brazil are discussed. The final considerations reflect on the study's findings from a feminist perspective, addressing the persistence of misogyny in politics and the challenges women face in predominantly male-dominated environments.
