Resumo
A crescente preocupação social, econômica e ambiental nas últimas décadas, assim como o comportamento das empresas diante dela, resultou no aumento das discussões e debates a respeito do desenvolvimento sustentável nos meios acadêmico e empresarial. O presente estudobusca mapear na literatura os indicadores sociais de sustentabilidade existentes e verificar quais são os que impactam na sustentabilidade das empresas no município de São Paulo. Foi realizada, inicialmente, uma revisão bibliográfica dos conceitos gerais de sustentabilidade, os três pilares básicos do Triple Bottom Line (TBL) e os modelos e índices existentes, porém o foco do presente estudo são os indicadores sociais. Por meio de pesquisa descritiva, exploratória e de campo, aplicando um instrumento de pesquisa do tipo questionário estruturado e utilizando a escala do tipo Likert de cinco pontos com os líderes das empresas, foi avaliada a relevância e aplicação dos indicadores sociais nas organizações. Buscou-se ainda realizar a análise dos sete principais indicadores sociais pesquisadosapontados como relevantes pela literatura estudada e relacionados ao tema estudado. Obteve-se como resultados obtidos a média das notas de cada indicador de acordo com a compreensão dos líderes, a partir de onde se constatou graus de não concordância entre a opinião pessoal e a aplicação na empresa em que os respondentes trabalham. Foram, portanto, apresentadas propostas de ações estratégicas visando aumentar as notas médias dos indicadores sociais e no sentido de promover o desenvolvimento sustentável nas organizações.
The growing social, economic and environmental concern in recent decades, as well as how companies have been responding to it, has resulted in an increased number of arguments and debates surrounding sustainable development on business and academics. The following study aims to map in the literature the existing social sustainability indicators in order to find the ones that impact São Paulo’s county companies’ sustainability. At first, a bibliographic review on general sustainability concepts, the three basic pillars from the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) and models and current indexes was made, on the other hand, the main focus of the present study are the social indicators. Through a field research,that applied structured questionnaire as its research instrument and used a Likert-like scale of five points with companies’ lieders, the application and relevance of social indicators inside organizations was measured. It was also sought to carry out an analysis on the seven main social indicators that were surveyed and pointed as relevant to the studied literature and to the subject. As a result, the average grade of each indicator according to lieders comprehension was obtained. With that information, it was found a disagreement between personal opinion and the indications enforcement in the companies they work. There were, after all, presented strategic actions that focus on increasing social indicators grades in order to promote a sustainable development inside organizations.
