Mulheres, discurso jornalístico e política: um estudo sociodiscursivo

Abstract

From an interdisciplinary perspective of discursive studies, this dissertation aims to discuss the representation of female figures by the traditional Brazilian media, specially their actuation in public sphere. For this purpose, were selected cover reports featured by women, published by IstoÉ magazine during 2018. Bakhtinian concepts were used for the analyzes development, combined with semiotics, in their convergences. This study aims, at first, to investigate dialogical relations that compose each text, as well the socio-historical context in which each discourse is inserted and which implications that carries; thereafter, from the plastic semiotics theory, it aims to study symbolic and semi-symbolic relations that build meaning effects of each analyzed text. Thus, this study reflects the discursive constructions of Brazilian women by the media today, and how these stigmas and stereotypes corroborates with the distance between the female gender and power positions

Em uma perspectiva interdisciplinar dos estudos discursivos, esta dissertação propõe discutir a representação de figuras femininas pela mídia tradicional brasileira, em especial no que tange à atuação de mulheres na esfera pública. Para tanto, foram selecionadas reportagens de capa protagonizadas por mulheres em publicações da revista IstoÉ, veiculadas durante o ano de 2018. Para o desenvolvimento das análises, são aproximados os conceitos bakhtinianos àqueles propostos pela semiótica discursiva de linha francesa, em suas convergências, objetivando investigar, em primeiro momento, as relações dialógicas que compõem cada texto, bem como o contexto sócio-histórico no qual cada discurso está inserido e as implicações que isso carrega; em seguida, a partir da semiótica plástica, objetiva-se estudar as relações simbólicas e semissimbólicas que constroem os efeitos de sentido de cada capa. Desta maneira, este estudo reflete a construção discursiva de mulheres brasileiras pela mídia atual, avaliando como essa concepção, muitas vezes carregada de estigmas e estereótipos, corrobora com o afastamento do gênero feminino às variadas esferas de poder
