- Artigo de eventoA Smart Ecosystem for Learning and Inclusion: An Architectural OverviewMartins V.F.; Tomczyk L.; Amato C.; Eliseo M.A.; Oyelere S.S.; Akyar O.Y.; Motz R.; Barros G.; Sarmiento S.M.A.; Silveira I.F. (2020)© 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.In recent years, open educational resources have been offered in initiatives that aim to reach a wider audience, contributing to the democratization of knowledge. However, there is still a gap with regard to the accessibility of these educational resources. In this sense, this paper presents a digital ecosystem architecture, called SELI (Smart Ecosystem for Learning and Inclusion), which is being developed by a group of ten countries in Europe and Latin America. This ecosystem can be viewed in four different views (philosophical foundations, supporting infrastructure, concept and service bus). It aims to provide an accessible learning environment, involving recent technologies such as Blockchain, microsites and the use of universal accessibility guidelines.
- Artigo de eventoDigital Storytelling and Blockchain as Pedagogy and Technology to Support the Development of an Inclusive Smart Learning EcosystemOyelere S.S.; Silveira I.F.; Martins V.F.; Eliseo M.A.; Akyar O.Y.; Costas Jauregui V.; Caussin B.; Motz R.; Suhonen J.; Tomczyk L. (2020)© 2020, The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.This study presents the work-in-progress implementation of a smart learning ecosystem being developed to support learner centered pedagogy such as digital storytelling and recent technologies such blockchain and microsites. The implementation of the ecosystem follows the design science research framework and the universal accessibility guidelines to provide the users with a smart, accessible and responsive learning environment. Besides helping the teacher to analyze students’ progress through the learning analytics component, this ecosystem will help the student to access learning content irrespective of their disabilities and other constraints.
- Artigo de eventoFramework to Creation of Inclusive and Didactic Digital Material for ElderlyEliseo M.A.; Oyelere S.S.; Silva C.A.D.; Silveira I.F.; Tomczyk L.; Hercovici M.; Amato C.A.D.L.H.; Akyar O.Y.; Martins V.F. (2020)© 2020 AISTI.The elderly population has been increased due better health conditions and quality of life. With a healthier aging, the elderly start to have a more active and participative life in society. They pursue, among other things, to acquire new knowledge and despite being a generation which access to existing technology was restricted, there is an increase in the use of digital technologies, especially in the educational field. However, with advancing age, cognitive and motor skills decrease. Given this scenario, the creation of accessible didactic materials that include the elderly population is necessary. This paper shows a framework to create inclusive digital material for elderly learning. The framework will help teachers to create digital contents that support elderly learners' personalized educational goals.
