All rights reserved.This study deals with performance indicators in organizations of Science, Technology and Innovation (S, T & I) and, in particular, the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (NSLL). It aimed to determine indicators to be used by NSLL to ensure the achievement of its objectives of short and long term. To do so, we performed a case study. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 10 stakeholders with high influence and interest in the institution, analyzed by the Analysis of Content’s technique and triangulated through document analysis and participant observation. As a result, this study suggests a model of performance management to be adopted by NSLL that can also be useful for other organizations of S, T & I.
