dc.description.abstractAmniotic membrane transplantation has been used as an alternative for ocular surface reconstruction. Indications for amniotic membrane transplantation include persistent epithelial defects, pterygium, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, chemical burns and pseudophakik bullous keratopathy.
