© 2021 IEEE.Propagation models predict coverage area at a given amount of time and locations. The adverse effects caused by multipath can be modeled probabilistically, but the manmade effects that appear in an impulsive way cannot be associated with a probabilistic distribution. The random and unpredictable nature of impulse noise challenges the effectiveness of modeling impulsive noise. Chaotic time series tools are presented and a new model of impulsive noise generator with chaotic waveform, duration and spacing is proposed.
