Resumo
This paper describes the heuristic evaluation of automatic transcription systems used for radiology reporting. These systems use speech recognition to transform voice enters in text reporting. In order to assess this class of system limitations and strengths, a review of the concepts involved in this kind of system is done in a critical way. In order to evaluate the usability of the developed application, we have employed the heuristic evaluation, a type of usability inspection method. These heuristics are based on re-interpretations of Nielsen's heuristics, on the study of non-functional requirements for Voice User Interface, and on the good practices of development described. © 2010 IEEE.
