dc.description.abstractAn optical fiber containing gold nanoparticles and designed to receive internal electrodes was fabricated. Its electro-optical nonlinear response was characterized; a slow (thermal) response was identified combined with a fast response enhanced by plasmonic effects. © OSA 2013.
