dc.description.abstract© OSA 2017.We present the design of a graphene electro-optical modulator with a dielectric layer of Al2O3 built onto a D-shaped optical fiber. The all-fiber optical modulator is optimized by controlling the dielectric thickness, achieving >1GHz bandwidths.
