dc.description.abstract© 2024 IEEE.Among the proposed improvements for the new Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão Digital (SBTVD) 3.0 is the use of Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 transport layer with Real-Time Transport Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (ROUTE) and Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) as the technique for transporting audio and video. This decision will allow for the convergence of broadcast system architectures with the already established broadband or over-the-top (OTT) workflows used by streaming platforms. These platforms use cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the underlying infrastructure and take advantage of the reach of the Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) offered by these providers. Integrating cloud efficiencies with linear broadcast workflows promises a significant improvement in resource utilization and cost reduction. This article is centered on the implementation in AWS of a functional end-to-end architecture based on the ATSC 3.0 standard. One of the aspects discussed is the feasibility of using the public internet for the transport of the Studio to Transmitter Link (STL), detailing the development of a software solution to ensure the integrity and security in the transmission of data to on-premises locations using the Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol. The proposed implementation successfully delivered the Studio-to-Transmitter Link Transport Protocol (STLTP) to on-premises appliances over long hours sessions without any lost or unrecovered packets.
