A arte pode desempenhar papel transformador, promovendo o engajamento e a
sensibilização dos envolvidos. Assim, este trabalho buscou analisar o potencial de
atividades de cunho artístico para a sensibilização e desenvolvimento de percepção
ambiental sobre a poluição marinha em estudantes da Escola Municipal de Barra do
Una, no litoral norte de São Paulo. Foram realizadas algumas atividades sem caráter
artístico e outras que integraram a arte com a educação ambiental, sendo que todas
buscaram alcançar um espaço de educação reflexiva e contextualizada. O estudo
explorou vivências que conectaram dez participantes com a natureza local, abordando
especialmente a temática do lixo marinho e os impactos dos desequilíbrios
ecossistêmicos na biodiversidade. A análise combinou uma abordagem quantitativa,
considerando a frequência dos indivíduos nas práticas, e qualitativa, por meio das
produções artísticas dos participantes. Os resultados sugerem que a arte favoreceu a
expressão emocional, o desenvolvimento de senso crítico e a percepção ambiental,
além de fortalecer vínculos de conexão entre os participantes e o meio ambiente.
Conclui-se que práticas pedagógicas baseadas em arte são interessantes para a
promoção de transformações relacionadas a questões socioambientais.

Thus, this study investigated how artistic practices contribute to expanding the environmental awareness of students from a coastal community in Barra do Una, São Paulo. Some activities were carried out without an artistic nature and others that integrated art with environmental education, all of which sought to create a space for reflective and contextualized education. The study explored experiences that connected ten participants with the local nature, especially addressing the theme of marine pollution and the impacts of ecosystem imbalances on biodiversity. The methodology combined a quantitative approach, analyzing the frequency of students in the practices, and a qualitative approach, through the analysis of students artistic productions. The results showed that art favored emotional expression, the development of critical thinking and environmental awareness, in addition to strengthening bonds of connection between participants and the environment. It is concluded that art-based pedagogical practices are interesting for promoting transformations related to socio-environmental issues.
