© 2020 IEEE.A transmitter identification (TxID) signal into the Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting version B (ISDBT-B) Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting (DTTB) system is proposed in this paper. The TxID is a watermarking technique that attaches a Pseudo Random Noise (PN) sequence with excellent correlation properties to a Digital TV (DTV) signal before transmission. It is a helpful tool for troubleshooting issues related to a specific transmitter of interest. For this purpose, Gold Sequences (GS) are used as TxID. The TxID is periodically inserted in the first Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) payload symbol, and it is detected by the correlation between the received signal and the transmitted TxID. This technique is mainly used in Single Frequency Network (SFN) for configuration time and power synchronization assistance, avoiding unwanted interference.
