The Label-Switched Path validation in a Generalized MultiProtocol Label Switching on Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing network requires the treatment of the physical impairments related parameters along the provisioned route. In this paper we discuss the Four Wave Mixing constraints and present Resource Reservation Protocol-Traffic Engineering extensions to manage its effects along the light-path in order to mitigate the blocking network. ©2009IEEE.
