dc.description.abstractThe shortcomings of both the surface integration and the two-aperture approach to the prediction of dielectric rod antenna patterns are well known. An alternative procedure based on a simplified scattering model is presented which is capable of yielding satisfactory results without the necessity of making empirical corrections.
