Consumer society is evaluated with regard to the sacred and the profane through analogies between the start of the Modern Period, specifically Baroque, and contemporaneity, also called Postmodernity. Analysis brings to the fore Agambem's aspects on the sacred and the profane and Zygmunt Bauman's analysis on consumer society.
