This paper discusses the use of augmented reality to develop accessible applications. Specifically, we developed a system used in tablets that, enriched by this technology, aid consumers with reduced visual acuity during shopping at a supermarket. We present the project development, the experiments and discussions about the obtained results. © 2013 IEEE.
