dc.description.abstractIn a scenario where it requires more competitive, flexible and innovative enterprises, it becomes vital to survival, growth and leadership, adopt methods and tools that lead the company to achieve these purposes. One method that has proved to be very effective in the pursuit of this competitive advantage is Lean Manufacturing. This work proposes to conduct a study in a custom boiler and equipment producing industry with the purpose of studying the viability of applying concepts and tools related to lean production system in a company in this sector.
