dc.description.abstract© 2023 IEEE.We investigate 1T'-MoTe2 as a saturable absorber for silicon photonics applications. Pulsed measurement for a mono- and few-layers transferred onto an optical fiber tip shows a saturation intensity of (0.14±0.04)MW/cm2. A simple model for the saturation predicts a saturation value of 0.09MW/cm2
